Challenging Pavilion

Location: Macon, GA
The homeowner was looking to make a major change in their backyard where the family could spend time together They wanted a new pool and a covered deck with a cooking area, a wood fireplace, an eating bar area, and plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. The biggest challenge was trying to determine the best way to build and get the roof lines to work. There was not enough space for a roof attached to the existing to work because of the upper windows. We really had to think outside the box. Al came up with the idea of creating a freestanding pavilion where the roof was a little higher and hung over the existing roof line. This allowed us to design a great outdoor space.

Design Drawings

“James and Al with Blueprint Design are the best! From the initial consultation, where they offered a solution no one else had thought of, to the final touches they exceeded our expectations. In the design phase they use a 3-D program that allowed us to see what the finished product would be and make several key changes prior to construction. During construction they were on-site and hands on so that we always knew our thoughts were being explained to the sub contractors. We are very pleased with the finished results because of the level of attention to detail, this project really turned out better than we could have imagined. We have and will recommend James and Al to anyone looking for first rate work.”
